WASHINGTON – Job growth in healthcare continued to be the trend in May, with the sector adding 33,000 jobs, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today.

Within the industry, employment in ambulatory healthcare services, which includes offices of physicians and outpatient care centers, rose by 23,000 over the month. Over the year, healthcare employment has risen by 340,000.
